Stay Human is an independent iOS app made by a solo developer. You can reach us any time at hello@getstayhuman.com.
Stay Human keeps a small amount of information on your device so it can work day to day. All of it is stored locally in the app's private storage on your iPhone. None of it is transmitted to us or to anyone else.
That is the complete list. There is no hidden profile, no identifier tied to you, and no copy of any of this on a server, because there is no server.
If you choose to attach a photo to a completed card, the app uses Apple's system photo picker. It only ever receives the single image you pick, never your whole photo library, and it never uploads that image anywhere. The photo is stored only in the app's private folder on your device, and you can remove it at any time.
Stay Human can send a daily reminder at a random moment inside a time window you choose. These are scheduled and delivered entirely on your device using iOS local notifications. Their text is a generic teaser and never reveals the day's card. No notification data is sent to us or to any server. You can turn them off any time.
Card packs and the full-deck bundle are one-time purchases handled entirely by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit. Apple processes the payment. We never see or receive your name, card number, billing address, or Apple ID. We only learn, on your device, that a pack is unlocked. "Restore Purchases" is an exchange between your device and Apple, governed by Apple's own Privacy Policy.
Because there is no server, information can leave your device in just two ways, both started by you or by Apple, never by us in the background:
Everything above lives in the app's ordinary storage on your iPhone, which means it is included in your own device backup if you use iCloud Backup or back up to a computer. That backup belongs to you and is governed by Apple's terms, not ours. We have no access to it, and we receive nothing from it. Restoring a backup onto a new phone brings your deck with it.
Stay Human is a general-audience app, not directed at children and not in the Kids Category. Because it collects no personal data from anyone, it collects none from children. There is nothing for a parent to request or delete on our side, because we hold nothing.
Everything the app remembers stays on your device for as long as the app is installed. Deleting the app removes all of that local data, including your progress, settings, and any attached photos. Because we never receive your data, there is no server copy for us to keep or erase. Note that since your progress lives only on your device, deleting and reinstalling, or moving to a new device, starts your progress fresh. Purchases can be restored with "Restore Purchases," because Apple keeps that record.
Privacy laws such as the GDPR and the CCPA give you rights to access, correct, port, or delete personal data a company holds about you. We hold none, so there is nothing on our side to access, export, or delete. You are already in full control of all your data, because it is on your device and nowhere else. Questions? Write to hello@getstayhuman.com.
Your data is protected by the standard iOS app sandbox and by your device's own security, such as your passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID. We recommend keeping your device software up to date.
getstayhuman.com is not the app. The site counts visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which sets no cookie and stores no identifier for you. That runs for everyone, because there is nothing to consent to.
Google Analytics is also available on this site, and it does use cookies. It is therefore switched off until you say yes. The first time you arrive you are asked once, with No and OK weighing the same, and nothing loads before you answer. Choose No and no Google script is ever fetched. Your answer is remembered in your browser, and clearing your browser storage asks you again. Either way the site works exactly the same, and none of this ever reaches the app or your cards.
If this policy ever changes, we will update it here and change the date at the top. Because the app collects no data, any change would only ever describe the app more accurately, never introduce hidden collection.
